Sparklers photos are prominent as some of summer's corniest but I cannot help but make them. My resistance to posting them is somewhat mollified by the fact that these sparklers are in the hands of children - the simple joy of waving around a ball of fire at then of a metal stick can only be appreciated by the young. They are definitely something that I associate with youth and the carefree lifestyle that comes along with it. I post these with the thought that they are not the typical July 4th sparkler shot - in anything I do with Ava, there is a sort of adult jadedness. She seemed to like them, but seemed to know better than to do so. That being said, these I feel okay posting these.
It's still a sad first post.
